Regimental Matters - Lowell Returns

Saturday, February 8, 1862

First Lieutenant James Jackson Lowell, wounded in the leg during the engagement at Ball's Bluff, returned to the regiment. He was the first of the officers wounded at Ball's Bluff to recover from his injuries.¹
